There are also many other features in the app that I did not mention here. That are the main features currently available. Also good to know that on mobile, these automations can be started from widgets, Android quick settings tiles, Tasker app (Android), Siri Shortcuts, or manually using the API. I am currently working on that feature for desktop and hope to release in the near future. Soon the automations will be extended to smart switches and motion sensors, too. Or you can use it to cycle through scenes or so. switch on a light, wait a few minutes, and automatically switch it off again. Activate scenes, toggle lights, blink lights, disable a motion sensor, start an effect (from the effect creator mentioned), and more. Then as actions, there are lots to choose from. For example, only if a group is on, between set times, or only if the temperature or light level is above a certain level. Then you can set conditions so the automation only triggers when they are all met. For example, you can start an automation at a set time, sunrise/sunset, when the temperature (hue motion sensor) reaches a certain threshold, etc. This allows you to automate devices in your smart home to perform repetitive tasks previously done by yourself. And multiple manufacturers are supported: Philips Hue, LIFX, deCONZ (Phoscon), diyHue, and IKEA TRÅDFRI (on windows only)

  • Of course you can control your groups and lights, and if you have multiple bridges, all groups are shown in the same list.

In a future update I will add support to sync with device audio, too, just like the mobile version

  • Dance Sensation, this is a disco which syncs lights to music from the microphone.
  • For example you can use this while playing games to get background lighting.
  • Sync your lights with your desktop screen.
